Rustic Wedding Ideas

Home / Blog / Rustic Wedding Ideas

Rustic weddings have become all the rage in part due to their back to nature approach but can also rekindle our childhood spirits. Whilst rustic weddings can look incredible, some back to basics ideas can go against the creature comforts we have known to fall upon on these special days.

We’ve put together some ideas here that you and your guests should love, plus everything here is available as an option to book with us!

Festoon Lighting

Sometimes the floodlights outside just don’t cut it. Festoon lights are a great addition to light the way from space to space or to just add atmosphere to an outside space. These can be mounted between buildings, from trees or temporary poles.

Blackboard Signs

They can either welcome, point out facilities such as the bar, buffet etc or even explain how the photo booth works. Subtle and invaluable, they are a much-needed accessory to any rustic wedding.

White Paper Lanterns

Hanging from the ceiling they add depth, with small LEDs in they can add a nice atmospheric touch.

White Fabric Sails

Handing from the roof or used in areas to depth to walls, they can really make the difference. When the party starts later on they can bring the ceiling in whilst making the rooms feel spacious.

Tealights

Hang them from the trees, or place them all around the room. These little lights don’t produce a lot of light but the details they create can really add to a room. Available in either LED or as traditional candles, though be warned, you could spend the whole night running around relighting the traditional ones.

Fire Pit

Not only adding light, they also add additional warmth to what can be a cold evening and a nice centrepiece to stand around chatting.

Useful for storage and decor they are perfect for adding some rustic charm.

Wooden Barrels

Can be used as poser tables to put your drinks on or just as additional decor to add to the room.

Hay Bales

A perfect alternative to traditional seating.

Outdoor Games

Great for the little kids (plus the bigger ones) to keep them entertained.

Plants & Foliage

Sounds kind of obvious but having plants on tables and dotted around the space can make the world of difference.
